Me and B and Little LJ

Welcome to our world! This is just a little experiment to see if this is a good way to keep folks connected in another kind of way. For those of you that talk to us on the phone, you know that you can't get the whole story. So maybe this can fill in the gaps a little. The most recent posts are at the top, so if you're trying to catch up, start at the bottom. Enjoy!

A Good analogy to describe Austin

Hey guys. The other night Brooke and I were enjoying a bike ride and talking about this new blog, and we came up with a pretty good analogy to describe what the people of Austin are like. The best stereotype we can think of for Austin is to say that it's like Lance Armstrong, Willie Nelson, and Michael Dell all live in the same house and get along pretty good. We're one of the most fit cities in the US. It seems like everyone rides, swims, runs, or does some kind of crazy form of extreme exercise (I, however, am yet to jump on any of those bandwagons). We're the live music capitol of the USA, theres someone to listen to any day of the week. Most recent to go national- Los Lonely Boys. And we have a bunch of entrepenuers and tech people. Michael Dell (Dell computers), GameStop, Schlotsky's Deli, and Whole Foods are just a few of the Austin originals and I bet there are 50 more you've heard of. Throw in George W. for the politics and Chris Tomlin for christian life, and you got yourself a pretty neat place to live.
